March 2024: News in the spotlight

"Women in the spotlight: stories of overcoming and achievement"

Last Friday, March 8, 2024, Women's Day was celebrated in a special way in Jundiaí. One of the stories that caught the eye was that of Laysa Fernanda Regorão, a 34-year-old HR assistant who was diagnosed with vitiligo at the age of 28. Passionate about make-up, Laysa found in the Social Solidarity Fund's Beauty course a way to reinvent herself and overcome life's challenges.

Meanwhile, at Emeb Professor Luiz Biela de Souza, in Jardim Santa Gertrudes, around 470 students took part in activities and reflections on Women's Day throughout the week. The theme was approached in an educational and inspiring way, promoting gender equality and female empowerment.

In addition, Jundiaí City Hall received representatives from international organizations interested in learning more about the public school feeding policies developed in the municipality. The Innovative School program was also highlighted, with the presentation of actions to improve safety and quality of life in the city.

In the midst of so many initiatives, the city is also preparing to celebrate Women's Day with the Citizen Woman event, which will offer services and activities at the Jardim Ângela Educational, Cultural and Sports Complex. Actions like these reflect the city administration's commitment to promoting equality and the well-being of all citizens.

Thus, Jundiaí once again stands out as a city that values diversity, inclusion and female empowerment, inspiring other communities to follow the same path towards a fairer and more equal society.
