The Young Riders made Christopher Pettiet famous in Hollywood with his role as Jesse James and Zach Crandell in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead! 

Like other Hollywood stars, Pettiet succumbed to the underworld with his substance abuse. He never tried to enter a drug treatment program despite warnings, his life ended after an overdose in 2004.

Perhaps, if he had received more support and encouragement from his family, he could have been saved from his terrible fate. But what's done is done, and we miss him to this day.
