AALIYAH - PLANE CRASH

The American singer and actress Aaliyah rose to fame with his album Age Ain't Nothing but a Number. She came into the public eye at the age of 10, when she made an appearance in Star Searcha popular TV show made at a sold-out concert with singer Gladys Knight - an impressive feat!

As well as singing, she has also acted and appeared in Romeo Must Die, her first successful movie. Aaliyah died in an airplane explosion on August 25, 2001. She suffered severe blows to the head and acute burns. The bodies on that flight were badly burned in the accident and unfortunately many other passengers died. 

The plane crash that killed her was a tragedy. She succumbed to her injuries along with the great impact. It was a huge shock when the news of her untimely death circulated the world. Her absence is still felt today.
