"TV Câmara is launched in Campo Grande to bring information and transparency to citizens"
The Campo Grande City Council launched TV Câmara this Monday (11), an open channel on channel 7.3 that promises to carry live broadcasts with the city's 29 councillors, as well as programs about the work of the parliamentarians. In the future, the new channel will include programs about sports and culture in the capital, as well as broadcasts of sessions of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and programs from TV Senado.
TV Câmara already has six programs broadcast on the closed channel of TV ALMS (Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul), and the partnership with the Federal Senate has made it possible for them to be broadcast on open TV. According to the director of TV Câmara, Pio Lopez, the antenna used is that of ALMS, and in the future the channel intends to broadcast amateur soccer matches from the neighborhoods, as well as signing cooperation agreements with the Court of Justice, the Public Defender's Office and the Public Prosecutor's Office.
During the launch ceremony, the Mayor, Councillor Carlos Augusto Borges, thanked the state representatives involved in the project for their partnership and highlighted the importance of open TV to bring information to people who can't afford closed channels. The Deputy Secretary of the Civil House, João César Mattogrosso, representing Governor Eduardo Riedel, emphasized that television will be important for the population to learn about the work of councillors in practice.
With a diversified program focused on bringing information and transparency to the population, TV Câmara promises to be an essential communication channel for following the work of parliamentarians and important discussions for the city of Campo Grande.
