DEBEA task force castrates 119 animals in Jundiaí
The Animal Welfare Department (DEBEA) held yet another animal castration campaign, this time castrating 119 animals, including cats and dogs. The event, which took place on Friday (08), was attended by guardians looking to provide a better quality of life for their pets.
One of the moving stories from the joint effort was that of Yasmin Albuquerque, a resident of Agapeama, who rescued her puppy Agata from a rubble dump. Yasmin stressed the importance of saving an animal's life and making it part of the family.
In addition, Janaína Cerqueira and André Cerqueira took their two animals, a cat and a dog, to be neutered. They stressed the importance of the joint effort to ensure a better quality of life for the animals and the families that take them in.
The director of DEBEA, Wagner Paiva, stressed that owners interested in having their pets neutered free of charge can register via the DEBEA website or the APP Jundiaí app. The next joint effort is scheduled for March 16 and 17, at EMEB Ivo de Bona, and is aimed at residents of the city's West Vector.
Castrating animals is an important measure for controlling the street animal population and ensuring the well-being of pets. DEBEA continues to carry out joint efforts and actions to promote animal health and care in Jundiaí.
