Flu campaign expands target audience in Jundiaí: more than 165,000 people expected
The flu vaccination campaign in Jundiaí continues in full swing, with the target public being expanded to include everyone in the priority group. The couple Maria Marçal and Lázaro Santos wasted no time in getting vaccinated together, stressing the importance of immunization for their health.
With more than 165,000 people eligible to receive the vaccine in the city, the goal is to vaccinate 90% of the eligible population, in order to prevent hospitalizations and deaths caused by influenza. The coordinator of Epidemiological Surveillance, Maria do Carmo Possidente, emphasizes the importance of seeking vaccination before winter, the period of greatest circulation of respiratory viruses.
In addition to the elderly, the priority group includes children, pregnant women, health workers, people with comorbidities, teachers and others. To receive the vaccine, it is necessary to present a CPF document and, in the case of professional categories, proof of employment.
So far, more than 22,000 doses of the flu vaccine have been administered in the city. More information about the campaign and the vaccination sites is available on the city's website. Make sure you protect yourself and get immunized against the flu!
