"Saturday Night Live live in Brazil: US comedy show arrives in Latin America"
With the arrival of the famous American comedy show "Saturday Night Live" in Brazil, fans of acid and irreverent humor can celebrate. For the first time, SNL will be shown live in the country on Universal+.
The show, now in its 49th season, features in each episode an opening monologue with a celebrity and sketches with the permanent cast, which has already included renowned comedians such as Pete Davidson. SNL has also hosted a number of special guests, including Pedro Pascal, Timothée Chalamet, Sydney Sweeney and Kristen Stewart.
The novelty of showing SNL live in Brazil promises to bring a more diverse perspective on Americans, according to Marcello Hernandez, the show's comedian. This is also the first time the show will be broadcast live in South America, which promises to win over even more fans.
Despite a previous attempt to have a Brazilian version of SNL, which was canceled after just over 20 episodes, the arrival of the original show in the country is sure to please lovers of intelligent and critical humor. SNL is available in Brazil on NBCUniversal International's Universal+, through Prime Video and ClaroTV+.
