Furiosa, which will feature several returning characters from Mad Max: Fury Road, is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on May 24, 2024. Chris Hemsworth will play a new character, Warlord Dementus, who will act as the main villain in the long-awaited Fury Road prequel, while Immortan Joe will be played by Lachy Hulme instead of the original Fury Road actor, Hugh Keays-Byrne.
