Arlecchino Joins Genshin Impact as the Third Fatui Herald

Following the premiere of an animated short featuring Arlecchino, Genshin Impact has released a character teaser to announce the arrival of the third playable Herald of the Fatui in the Event Banners. Wanderer and Tartaglia will be accompanied by Arlecchino in Version 4.6, which will also be released with a Story Mission and Confrontation Mastery, in one of the biggest updates in Genshin Impact's history. She will be joined by Lyney on the Event Banners in the first half of the patch, while the second half will feature Baizhu and Wanderer.

Ever since her first appearance in A Winter Night's Lazzo, fans have been excited about Arlecchino and the role she will play in the story of Genshin Impact. Although many consider her a villainous character, as befits her position as Herald of the Fatui, Arlecchino proved to be an unlikely ally during the Fontaine Archon Mission in Version 4.2. Despite being ruthless and cold in her pursuit of justice, Arlecchino's darker side is tempered by an unconditional love for the orphans and foster children of the Home House.

A reliable leak in the Genshin Impact community confirms which 4-star characters will accompany Arlecchino on his debut banner in Version 4.6.
These qualities are perhaps best encapsulated in Arlecchino's character teaser, where she tends to an injured member of the House of Home and brings justice to a corrupt member of Fontaine's aristocracy. Arlecchino in Genshin Impact may belong to the primary faction of antagonists, but, like Tartaglia, they seem to share a lot of common ground with the Traveler, as long as their agendas don't clash.

Although Lyney is considered the heir apparent to the House of Home, curiously, it is Freminet who appears in both the animated short and Arlecchino's character teaser. Given that Lyney and Lynette had their moment in the spotlight during the Archon Missions in Fontaine, it's quite possible that Freminet in Genshin Impact will have his moment to shine in the Arlecchino Story Mission when Version 4.6 is released.

With Natlan fast approaching, Arlecchino's Story Mission is expected to conclude the overarching story in Fontaine, while Dainsleif is scheduled to make his annual appearance in Version 3.7. As well as introducing Clorinde in Genshin Impact as a playable character, Version 3.7 will also bring Sethos and probably even Sigewinne to the cast. Although details are still scarce, Genshin Impact players will be able to find out more about the next update as soon as Version 3.6 is released on April 24, 2024.
