Umuarama's Ceju receives 260 tablets to develop technological activities

The Youth Center in Umuarama has received an important investment from the Secretariat for Social Development and the Family (Sedef), with the delivery of 260 tablets for the development of activities involving technology and information. The Aprimora project covered 26 institutions in the state, with the aim of providing more equipment and technology for the adolescents and young people who attend these spaces.

The municipal secretary for Social Assistance, Dayane Paola Demozzi, passed on 10 tablets to the coordinator of Ceju, Jeferson Ferreira, at a ceremony held on Tuesday (23). The total investment was R$ 458.8 thousand, with the participation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with the aim of encouraging young people to take a leading role and develop through study, respect and commitment.

With around 330 children and young people currently in its care, Ceju in Umuarama will use the tablets for computer classes and vocational courses. The center's coordinator pointed out that the acquisition of the equipment opens up new possibilities, such as conducting research, developing skills and improving knowledge of technology.

The Youth Centers are spaces built by the state and managed by city halls, which offer cultural, educational, sports and citizenship activities in areas of greater social vulnerability. In addition to the tablets, Ceju also has the Bolsa Agentes da Cidadania program, which offers a monthly stipend for young people to develop projects in areas such as sports, leisure and culture.

The teenagers celebrated winning the tablets, demonstrating their interest in technology and the opportunity to learn and develop. The state's investment and the partnership with Umuarama City Hall aim to strengthen the role of young people as agents of transformation and protagonists of their own stories.
