Hotline: Pedro Bial remains in charge for new 2024 season
The police program Linha Direta is returning to Globo's schedule in 2024, with Pedro Bial once again at the helm. After the success of the previous season, the new version of the production promises to delve deeper into the investigation of crimes that have marked Brazilian society. As well as being shown on television, Linha Direta will also have multiplatform content, with podcast episodes and reports on the broadcaster's websites.
Last season, the Linha Direta podcast became one of the most listened to programs in the country, bringing extra information and behind-the-scenes testimonies. This year, the program chose the Beatriz Case as its main theme, a crime that still raises questions even though the killer has been arrested. The case portrays the murder of a 7-year-old girl in Petrolina, Pernambuco, in 2015.
Linha Direta will be shown on Thursdays at around 11pm, after "Os Outros" (The Others), with the premiere scheduled for April 18th. Each episode will cover a different topic, with exclusive stories and testimonies, as well as featuring portraits or photos of fugitives from justice. In the previous season, the production helped arrest 37 fugitives.
With artistic direction by Gian Carlo Bellotti and general direction by Dudu Levy and Fellipe Awi, the program will be presented by Pedro Bial, as in the previous season. Take a look back at the highlights of the last season and get ready for more investigations and mysteries on Linha Direta in 2024.
