Bill to transform ATI into Etipi awaits opinion in the Legislative Assembly
The proposal to transform the Piauí State Information Technology Agency (ATI) into a mixed-capital company, called the Information Technology Company (Etipi), is generating discussions in the Legislative Assembly's Constitution and Justice Committee. The bill, which is awaiting the opinion of the rapporteur, state deputy Gustavo Neiva, aims to expand Etipi's role in technological development and the provision of essential services for the state.
According to the message sent by Governor Rafael Fonteles to the deputies, Etipi will play a crucial role in promoting digital inclusion, boosting Piauí's economic and social development, as well as providing quality services to government bodies, education, health and other vital sectors for the community. The proposal emphasizes that the company will not be subject to the competitive regime, aiming to act in the public interest.
Etipi's strategic performance is fundamental to the proper functioning of public institutions and the well-being of the state's citizens. The proposal highlights the importance of ensuring that the company is focused on offering quality services, technological innovation and satisfying the needs of end users, without compromising the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided.
The bill will be voted on by the CCJ on Tuesday (19) and, if approved, will go to the plenary. The expectation is that the transformation of ATI into Etipi will bring significant benefits to technological development and the provision of services in the state of Piauí.
