JOSÉ MAYER - 70 YEARS OLD

José Mayer began his career in 1978, with his first role being the Talking Donkey in Sítio do Picapau Amarelo. After that, he made several appearances in soap operas, including Love Story, Family Ties e The Favorite. His last television appearance was in 2016, as Tião Bezerra in The Law of Love. In 2018, José Mayer was diagnosed with granulomatosis with polyangiitis, a rare and incurable disease that can be controlled with treatment and medication. José Mayer married actress Vera Fajardo in 1975 and the two are still together today.
