The slasher is directed by Wes Craven and the cast includes Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakley and Johnny Depp in his movie debut. Robert Englund plays the iconic villain Freddy Krueger.

The plot follows a group of teenagers who start having nightmares about the terrifying Freddy Krueger, a killer who kills them in their dreams. However, if Freddy kills you in your dreams, you die in real life.

Paris, Texas

A film by German filmmaker Wim Wenders, "Paris, Texas" received widespread critical acclaim. At the Cannes Film Festival, it won the Palme d'Or, the FIPRESCI Prize and the Ecumenical Jury Prize.

The road movie follows Travis (Harry Dean Stanton), a man who mysteriously reappears in the Texas desert after disappearing for years. He is found by his brother Walt (Dean Stockwell), who takes him home.

Travis' son Hunter (Hunter Carson) has been living with Walt and his wife Anne (Aurore Clément) since his father disappeared and his biological mother Jane (Nastassja Kinski) was missing. When Travis and Hunter begin to identify with each other, they set off together on a journey in search of the missing Jane.

Once Upon a Time in America

The final film by one of the greatest directors of Italian cinema, Sergio Leone. "Once Upon a Time in America" is widely acclaimed by critics and movie buffs as a masterpiece of cinema.

The gangster epic follows the friendship and break-up between Noodles (Robert De Niro) and Max (James Woods), who grew up together in a Jewish neighborhood in New York.

As they lead a group of criminals, the movie follows the friends' journey from childhood, through their rise to become notorious gangsters.

Gremlins

A hit with audiences and critics alike, "Gremlins" mixes comedy and horror in a Christmas setting. The film was directed by Joe Dante ("Piranha", "Little Warriors") and was followed by an even more chaotic sequel in 1990.

The plot follows Billy (Zach Galligan), who receives a unique Christmas present. He gets a strange and adorable pet from his father.

However, in order to take care of the lovable creature, you have to follow certain rules to the letter. When you don't follow these rules, the animal generates other chaotic and destructive creatures.

The movie that propelled Eddie Murphy to worldwide stardom, "One Heck of a Cop" was one of the biggest box office hits of 1984. The film was followed by two sequels.

The movie follows Axel Foley (Murphy), a smart cop with unconventional creative methods from Detroit who moves to Beverly Hills. His goal is to investigate the murder of his best friend on his own.

Starman
