"Women's Month in Óbidos: Cultural and Sports Program to Celebrate Women"
This Friday (8), the municipality of Óbidos, in western Pará, is holding a special program in honor of International Women's Day. The "Women's Month" project is promoting cultural and sporting activities in various parts of the city, with the aim of providing moments of fun and learning for local women.
The program includes sports practices, lectures on self-esteem and physical and mental health care, among other activities, which will run until March 28, both in the urban area and in the interior of the municipality. Today's highlight is the walk from Praça da Orla to Praça da Cultura, followed by a dance class.
In addition, the cultural program will include carimbó performances, testimonials from local entrepreneurs, a choice of women for a makeover and a fashion show. The first lady of Óbidos, Alice Silva, invites all women to take part and enjoy the incredible moments that are being prepared.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments in the program is the III Forum of Women of the Lower Amazon, which aims to value and strengthen women's struggles, inspiring and motivating participants. The municipal secretary for Social Development, Aldanete Farias, highlights the importance of the forum and invites the women of Obidão to take part in this enriching event.
